CNC Machinist (Day or evening shift)

Are you looking for a job with varied tasks where you’ll be part of an experienced and competent team? Do you enjoy a challenge and working on complex, precision-machined parts? That’s exactly what’s waiting for you with us! As a CNC Machinist, your duties will include:

Description of responsibilities

  • Operate and conduct machining of parts on lathes and CNC machining centres;
  • Produce complex parts in single or small batches;
  • Interpret drawings, perform calculations, and verify parts produced;
  • Ensure the quality of production by respecting quality and deadlines;
  • Ensure that machinery is functioning properly and that the work area is clean.

Required competencies

  • Possess a DVS in machining;
  • AVS in numerical control would be an asset;
  • Attention to detail and meticulousness;
  • Organizational skills, self-sufficiency;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Working conditions

  • 40 hours/week
  • Day or evening shift (evening premium of $2/hour)
  • Competitive compensation and benefits;

The successful candidate will work as part of a design team, mainly assisting our team in the design and manufacturing of automated industrial equipment.

  • Produce computer-assisted technical drawings and specifications
  • Create detailed drawings of parts and sub-assemblies
  • Assist the designer in their tasks

Requirements

  • DCS in mechanical engineering or AVS in industrial drafting
  • Open to graduates (possibility of paid internship)
  • Knowledge of Solid Edge and/or Solid Work software and the Office Suite
  • Initiative, autonomy, team spirit

Working conditions

  • 40 hours/week, full-time day shift
  • Start date: as soon as possible

Come and learn from experienced machinists! We offer training, coaching, and varied tasks, since we are not involved in production. With us, you can really develop your skills and apply your machining knowledge! You’ll learn to make set-ups of varying complexity and to set up and operate a variety of CNC machines.

Would you like to go back to school to study machining? Now you can, thanks to the work-study program offered in collaboration with the Centre professionnel L’Envolée de Montmagny. You’ll be paid to learn a new trade!
